Live Anchovy

The gold standard live bait for anything that hunts by sight and speed. Usually caught yourself with a sabiki rig rather than bought, since it doesn't survive transport well.

How to Rig It

Hook lightly through the nose or just ahead of the dorsal fin so it keeps swimming naturally.

Storage

Needs a bait tank with circulating, aerated water, anchovies don't last long in a plain bucket.
